Some journeys cannot be measured in miles.

They are measured in courage.

Lifted was more than three years in the making. It became a deeply personal search for a way to honor the beauty, diversity, and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community without leaving anyone behind. Every color, every symbol, and every detail was carefully chosen to reflect the many identities, experiences, and stories that together form one extraordinary community.

At its center is an eye—not as a symbol of judgment, but of recognition. It reminds us that every person deserves to be seen with dignity, compassion, and love. Surrounding it are wings that represent freedom, hope, and the strength to rise above fear, rejection, and hatred. Together, they remind us that we are often lifted not by perfection, but by acceptance, by chosen family, and by the courage to live authentically.

Lifted is a celebration of every person who has ever fought to become who they truly are. It is a reminder that our identities are not burdens to carry—they are gifts to embrace. We are not defined by the obstacles placed before us, but by the strength we find in one another and the love that carries us forward.

This artwork is dedicated to every member of the LGBTQ+ community and to every ally who believes that every human being deserves to be seen, respected, and loved exactly as they are.
